What is this product made of?

Yvoire Classic Plus is made from 22mg/ml cross-linked hyaluronic acid, 3mg/ml lidocaine, and phosphate buffer pH 7.2 q.s.

This dermal filler is also completely odorless, colorless and biodegradable.

How does this work to help my patients?

This hyaluronic acid-based filler provides natural looking results for patients wishing to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is an important glycosaminoglycan in the extrafibrillar matrix of the dermis. Within the dermis, it forms the component of a gelatinous matrix that envelopes collagen and elastin fibers, so that it creates volume through its own water-binding abilities. A direct relationship has been shown to occur between water content, viscoelastic properties of the dermis, and the amount of hyaluronic acid in the dermis. The decreasing hyaluronic acid content in the dermis is a contributing factor to wrinkle formation because of the reduced ability to retain water and viscoelasticity. The added lidocaine provides pain control for a more comfortable dermal filler procedure.
